Happy Hoggers

Here I am in rainy Edinburgh already nervous about the propsect of the fireworks at midnight ... will it turn foggy? Will the display be cancelled as it was last year? It is not a happy thing to be fireworks-dependent (the first step to recovery is admitting the problem so they tell me ...) when the weather is as fickle as it is here ... I can hear the wind getting up as I write ... I swear I will stick hot needles in my eyes if I miss yet another major firework display ... for what is New Year, sorry, Hogmanay without loud bangs, lots of smoke and plenty of sparkle? Fingers crossed, paws crossed (that's Louie) ....
